What we collect
Photos you submit for authentication, the watch details you provide (brand, model, reference and, for a Rolex, the serial number and clasp code you enter), and contact information you choose to share (such as your email address). Payments are handled by Stripe — we receive only the payment status and a reference, never your card details. We also keep records of how you use the site, such as the pages and steps you reach, how long each photo takes to upload and be checked, your device type and country, and the site that referred you, kept under a random identifier for that visit and never with your IP address.
How we use it
Photos and watch details are used to perform the authentication you request. Contact details are used to send you the report and pilot updates you asked for. We do not sell personal data. Those records are used to find where the check is slow or fails and to understand how many visitors complete a check.
Research program submissions
Our replica research program is a separate, clearly-marked, opt-in flow. Submissions there — photos, the declared factory/version details, the serial number and clasp code if you give them, and the analysis result — are stored and used to improve our detection systems. This applies only to research-program submissions where you gave explicit consent; regular authentication submissions are not stored this way.
Retention
Submission photos and the watch details entered are retained only as long as needed to deliver your report and improve authentication quality, and are deleted on request. Serial numbers and clasp codes entered for a Rolex are also kept in an internal registry, used to recognise documented replica identities, and are deleted with the rest of your submission on request. Research-program submissions are retained until you request deletion (include your submission ID).
